We interrupt this highly irrelevant blog to bring you...

...my first meme! Thank-you, oh invisible one.

1. I'll respond with something random I like about you.
2. I'll tell you what song/movie reminds me of you.
3. I'll name something we should do together.
4. I'll say something that only makes sense to you and me (or just me).
5. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you.
6. I'll leave you a quote that is somehow appropriate to you.
7. I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you.
8. If I do this for you, post this on your journal.

1) By no means is this list random; I like your intelligence, sassiness, opinionated comments, interest in politics and pursuit of a goal larger than yourself. Your pussycats are awefully cute too!

2) Anything by Enya.

3) Watch funny British comedies and talk politics!

4) Steve Levitt leaves his laptop on while taking-off and landing in an aircraft.

5) In the Nashville LJ. I think you posted something about Thanksgiving.

6) Just one quote? “The important thing is not what they think of me, but what I think of them.” -- Queen Victoria
OR

“The world is a tragedy to those who feel, but a comedy to those who think.” --Horace Walpole

AND

“Good girls go to heaven, Bad girls go everywhere.” -- Helen Gurley Brown

7) What's your favorite book? Movie? Song? Place? Cuisine?

This meme was fun!

Oh, nice quotes. :) You always give me so much to think about--with a little extra spice from HGB! ;)

Why Enya, I wonder?

As for #7, hmm. My favorite just-for-fun book is probably the Time Travelers Wife. You should read it and I guarantee you'll weep and love it. I have lots of favorites though, childrens books and smart books and poetry and literature. I invite you to brows my library. ;)

As for movie, probably The Princess Bride, I can watch it over and over. Songs vary depending on my mood, but for me its the lyrics which are most important. So Melissa Etheridge's album Brave and Crazy is probably my most lasting favorite. Cuisine is Mexican/Cuban/Caribbean just because they are so very similar...tho I love just about anything but seafood...I guess it comes from being a SD girl and always having great beef available!

Enya beacause her music is light and calming (kinda like your writing)!

I haven't readt TTW (or watched PB), but I'll add it to my Amazon wishlist. You invite me to browse through your library?! *jumps up and down in excitement* Yay! I'd love to do that! When's a good time for that?
